KAMPOENG LOBSTER AIR TAWAR (LAT)We began our fresh water crayfish hatchery and farm around late 2005.But not until 2006 we expand our market outside the province.We continously distribute around 75set to 125set,thousands of juvinile and 20kg of consumption size a month to bandung,subang,garut,tasik,ciamis area.From that,we established kampoeng lobster to support our business in the area.Based on our experienceRedclaw spawn throughout the year, although there is less spawning activity in June and July due to our season.Red Claw (Cherax Quadricarinatus) can be breed in aquariums,clay based ponds,billabong ponds and can live up to 5 years and reaches 30cm in lenght and weighing around 500grams.One female red claw can produce up to 1000eggs.Red Claw comes in variety of colours from light

blue,greenish and brownies colour.Perhaps the greatest struggle in the development of Red Claw culture as an industry is marketability.But It may succeed as a substitute lobster or as a "baby lobster". True success as an industry may have to wait until red claw is properly breed and marketed.
